Jason Conde-Houston :
Swords And Sorcery

Seattle
Doom Metal, Veganer, Dreadlocks, Hipster, schmutzige Crust Punks mit Hunden.

Hulk Hogan
"I am a real American, fight for the rights of every man...."

Omen

Give Me Metal or give me Death!

-------------
English version of the interview:

DarkScene: Hail mighty Skelator! How are you and how do you feel about the relase of "King Of Fear"?

Jason Conde-Houston : We feel great! The album sounds good and the reception has been very positive. This may not be as epic as "Agents of Power" but the songs are infectious and concise. I know this album will be a Skelaclassic for many years to come.

DarkScene: None of your albums can be compared to any other. Is this intention or something that just happens? Did you have a masterplan for "King Of Fear"?

Jason Conde-Houston : No master plan just writing dark heavy metal without compromise. Every song has it's own story from swords and sorcery to just burning the stage with heavy metal might. I really doubt we will ever do a concept album ever again. As much as we are proud of "Elric: The Dragon Prince" it was a very hard process writing it and even more so recording it and I'm sure it was really hard to mix it as well. We would rather write songs that we can play live without hesitation.

DarkScene: How do you feel about the reviews? Many of them, including the Darkscene-review, feel very positive about Skelator.

Jason Conde-Houston : We are elated to say the least. You guys make us very proud to do what we do. I expected good reviews but this is beyond that.

DarkScene: When will we see Skelator touring Europe? US Metal like yours has a very high demand at the moment!

Jason Conde-Houston : There are no plans to travel to Europe as of yet. But we are hoping that we will be invited to play some festivals soon enough. We are excited to play in Chicago this year with Liege Lord and Attacker and various other true metal bands at the RagnarokkR festival. This is the closest thing we have to Keep it True in America. I am proud to see that we have our own scene over here. People fly from Canada, Mexico and even Europe just to see this fest.

DarkScene: It's the year 2142. People live in flying houses and the music is produced so clean, that even Andy Sneap would be considered being underground. What will the future people say about the legacy of Skelator?

Jason Conde-Houston : Raw barbaric steel hailing from the American old west. The singer sounds like an evil banshee, the guitars are raping your skull with dark spells of harmony, while the rhythm section pounds away like a slave ship from the dark ages. Conan would be proud to sail this mighty ship on his way to claim his future throne.

DarkScene: Here are some words. Tell me the first thing, that comes in your mind:

Jason Conde-Houston :
Sword & Sorcery
"Land of immortals I wait for my day, to reach the wisdom of your skies, Land of immortals you must belong to me, from here to eternity"

Manowar
Once the truest band of all, now the Kingdom of Steel sounds like plastic. Don't get me wrong I would watch them live again but I don't trust them to make another good album. And stop rerecording our favorite albums!!!

Seattle
Doom Metal, Vegans, dreadlocks, Hipsters, dirty Crust Punx with dogs.

Hulk Hogan
"I am a real American, fight for the rights of every man, I am a real American, fight for what's right, fight for your LIFE!"

Omen
Great American heavy metal. We got to play with those guys in 2010 at the Warriors of Metal festival.

German/Austrian fans
Denim vests with more patches than a man can imagine. Spikes and leather brings us together. Heavy Metal is the LAW!!!!

DarkScene: The last words are yours!

Jason Conde-Houston : I want to thank you all for all the support over the years. Hopefully we will return to Europe by 2016 and we will play new tracks from "King of Fear" and classic hits from our older albums. Also I will be singing for Split Heaven on their new record. So I will be able to spread the Skelator Manifesto to more people around the globe. 2014 was a great year for metal, let's make 2015 even better.

Death to the Opposition, Death to False Metal, Give Me Metal or Give Me Death!
