THE KOVENANT haben sich nun in den Woodhouse Studios eingefunden, um ihr neues Album Namens S.E.T.I. (The Search For Extraterestial Intelligence) aufzunehmen. Die Scheibe soll Ende 2002 über Nuclear Blast herauskommen. Statement von Bassist/Sänger Lex Icon:

"On the new album we have been fortunate enough to be accompanied by a string-quartet and a few sopranos. The style of the album is, as always, hard to describe, since the overall sound picture changes a lot after the album is done. One could categorize it as cybertrash/electro-rock/metal. I guess you´ll just have to wait for a little while to find out. But then again, so do we hahaha."
