Die norwegischen Urväter des Blackmetals, DARKTHRONE, planen bis Ende des Monats eine weitere Songwriting Session in Oslo, um ihr neues Album fertigzustellen, welche sie bis Februar 2003 über Moonfog Records veröffentlichen wollen.
Unter den Songtiteln befinden sich "Rust" und "Fucked Up And Ready To Die". Die Band äußerte sich zum Album in gewohnter Weise: "the new album seems to develop into another state of soul-binding art (at least for us it is), black & white album design, dark-edge primitive metal. This time around we`ll make sure that we show everybody where we will stand in the future. As already everybody knows, DARKTHRONE stands for nothing `new and fresh`, prog-metal is a totally different musical world for us, we live and breathe for the real thing."

Weiters wird DARKTHRONE`s Goatlord Album als limitiertes Vinyl gegen Ende des Jahres als Gatefold mit Liner Notes von Fenriz erscheinen.
